Thank you so much for all of the kind words...it really means so much to all of us. Believe me, we're reading all of them.
This is all tentative but the current plans are to have Dad's Funeral Mass on Friday, May 1, at Holy Cross Church in Latonia. We'll be sure to share all the details once the plans are finalized.
We'll also be having a Memorial Service in Leesburg, Florida sometime the following week.
Keep us in our prayers.

Dear Family-- I just returned from Mass at Holy Cross. Aunts Joy, Diane and Rita were there, along with Uncle Doug and Judy and Carol Tully. The Mass was being offered for Dodie Renaker;what a coincidence. I am so glad so many of you are together during this time. Be assured of continuing prayers, thoughts and love across the miles. I'm so glad that all of you guys are down there with Bernie. I love Walt and Bernie and appreciate everything they have done for Sue, Trev, Jake and myself. They made me feel part of the family from day one 23 years ago when I would sleep on their floor several nights a week! We have had the pleasure of Walt and Bernie staying with us often when they came home to Kentucky and will never forget those times and all the great meals. I lost my Dad when I was 13 and am so happy to have had Walt and Bernie be such a big part of my families lives. I couldn't have married into a nicer family.
ReplyDeleteSean and I would like to express our deepest sympathy to Aunt Bernie and the family. We have been praying that you find comfort in this difficult time. We saw a rainbow in Northern Kentucky yesterday. Frank Lloyd Wright said, "I believe in God, only I spell it Nature." Maybe God was telling us that Wally is in the best place now. Please let us know if we can be of any help. We are great babysitters (Lydia loves playmates), if you need us. Love,

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with all of us your walk with Wally through the past months. As some of us joined together last evening, we all were in amazement of God's graces and gifts - Bernie's steadfast love and encouragement, all of the children there as they have been, the brothers/uncles there together for Bernie and the children and themselves, Wally's peaceful death. Wow. Thank you Lord for such a gift to this family and to all of us extended family.
Know that we are all here, loving you from afar, wishing we were with you to share your tears as well as laughter as memories and stories are shared by you all.
